As we approach the National Conference 2026: Change On Our Streets, we’ve put together a few helpful tips on how to make the most of your experience.

Things to bring with you

  • A lanyard. We’ll have your name tag ready but please bring your own lanyard to attach this to
  • A travel coffee cup
  • A water bottle

Thank you for helping us reduce our environmental impact!

  • Lunch. We are expecting 450 delegates at this year’s conference, which exceeds our capacity to provide lunch for everyone. Please do bring a packed lunch with you, or make the most of our central Cambridge location and grab a bite to eat from the food stall outside the Guildhall. There are numerous supermarkets and other lunch places in the city, too.
  • With 100 extra delegates compared to last year, some parts of the conference will feel very busy. We therefore encourage colleagues to take the event at their own pace, and we recommend those who struggle with big crowds bring ear-defenders. Quiet spaces are available in both venues, also.

Between 8.30pm and 11pm on Tuesday 3rd February, the registration will take place at the Corn Exchange. Those who have completed registration earlier should show lanyards and move straight into the Main Hall to avoid congestion.

Registration on Wednesday 4th February will open at 9.30am at the Corn Exchange and will remain there for the rest of the day. Those who have completed registration on the previous day should show lanyards and move straight into the Main Hall to avoid congestion.

  • Entrances and Exits for the Guildhall

The Guildhall entrance we are using is on ‘Guildhall Street’, which is not the main entrance to the Guildhall. Our entrance is directly opposite the ‘Shakeshack’. The What 3 Words are “rounds.taking.herb”. If you require step free access, you’ll need the Peas Hill entrance for the Guildhall. The What 3 Words are “float.remedy.move”.
