The Invisible Circus celebrated Earth Day with a massive performance protest; Code Red – A Funeral for Nature took place in Bath Somerset on Sat 20 Apr 2024.
It brought together over 350 of the Red Rebel Brigade from all over the UK as well as members from Belgium and the Netherlands to form a major part of a funeral procession in collaboration with hundreds of mourners and over 40 drummers as well as a stunning funeral bier carrying Mother Nature designed and made by Anna Gillespie and her team.
Simultaneous Red Rebel protests occurred in Boston USA, Gothenburg Sweden, Lisbon Portugal and at the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
Chris Packham joined the group of mourners and delivered a moving speech as the procession reached its destination at Bath Abbey; with the UK status of being one of the most nature depleted countries in the world, this crisis has never been more urgent and we would encourage everyone to take action, before it’s too late.
