Basingstoke | It’s the third weekend of brilliant Outdoor Arts at Basingstoke Festival this weekend. Be sure to see Mayfly by Kapow, Couch Potatoes by Beside Ourselves, D.O.C. by Safety Catch Theatre, and Push by Company Chameleon.

London | A whole summer season of amazing live performances and arts awaits at Kensington + Chelsea Festival, running until 31 Aug. Featuring Ockham’s Razor, Vidya Thirunarayan, Desperate Men, Daryl Beeton Productions and Mimbre, Upswing, Motionhouse, Joli Vyann, Theatre Temoin, 2Faced Dance Company, Pif Paf, and more.

Henley | The Henley Festival is back this weekend, celebrating the best of UK and International music and arts, this year’s ‘roving troupe’ includes Granny Turismo, the Acro Chaps, Circii’s Pigeons, Cirque Pyromantic, Musical Ruth as “Elton Wrong”, Tommy Gurr, the Fashionistas, Miniscule Of Sound, Super Tenants and Joy Magnet’s Bouncers.

Bedfordshire | Green Space Dark Skiesled by Walk the Plank, heads to The Chilterns AONB on 15 Jul. 20,000 people will become Lumenators, each carrying a low-impact light into the landscape, making patterns on mountains, lakes and moorland.

Greenwich | Head to The Bandstand in Greenwich Park this evening for an event with Just Us Dance Theatre for 14-25-year-olds. See Just Us Dance Theatre perform Born to Protest, and then join in a workshop with the performers to learn some new techniques and skills. Part of Summer in the Park, produced by Greenwich Dance and Artstrust Productions. From 29 Jun-29 Aug Emergency Exit Arts is bringing A Tale to be Told to locations in Greenwich, see it on Sunday from 12-4pm at Easglesfield (PARKSfest). Performers will burst out from inside the Storyteller, a giant moving puppet, sharing the stories of our diverse voices and reminding the audiences that no matter who you are, we all have a story to tell.

Ryde | The New Carnival Company’s annual schools and community carnival parade is back tomorrow! The theme of the Isle of Wight Mardi Gras Parade this year is ‘Our World Our Future’. Expect fantastic costumes, music and dance depicting a call to action inspired by the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals.

St Leonards on Sea | Hold on to your hats because the free annual arts and community festival in St Leonards on Sea from 18 Hours is once again here! Visit St Leonards Festival tomorrow and see Circus from Circus Pazazz, UK African Acrobats, and Xena Flame, join a Carnival Workshop with Loulou Cousin, and see spectacular drumming from the Spark! Drummers.

Weston-super-Mare | Party on the Green will bring a joyful jamboree of community-led outdoor activities and professional performances to Weston’s Coniston Green Park tomorrow. See Push by Company Chameleon, take part in a circus skills workshop with FMC Circus Arts, and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of free experiences hosted by members of the local community, including face painting and body tattoos by Bev G Star and the YMCA; crafting with Community Scrapstore North Somerset; drop-in taster session with Weston’s Boombox Youth Project; launch of the For All Healthy Living Centre Library’s summer reading challenge and apple-pressing with Weston Food Clubs. Presented by Culture Weston in partnership with SWAN Youth Forum and the local community.

Devizes | Leaving the Green at 5:30pm tomorrow, the Devizes Carnival Procession will bring the town alive with vibrant walking groups, floats, bands and more, based on this year’s theme ‘Go Wild’.

Sunderland | Returning to Cliffe Park tomorrow, check out Summer Streets Festival, an annual music, arts and community festival in Sunderland, featuring Patrick Ziza Dance, Glasshouse Dance, Tiny Dragon Productions, Uncaged Aerial, Nrithya-Maya Dance Team and more.

Sheffield | Taking place on Sat 9 and Sun 10 Jul, Tudor Square will be transformed into a festival space with events including street acts, music, poetry and theatre. This year’s Together in the Square will mark our participation in the city-wide series of cultural events celebrating the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022. Performances from Mark Mark Productions, Able Mabel & Peter Anderson, Abi Collins, Madame Zucchini, Bread & Butter Productions, and Felicity Footloose.

Hartlepool | This weekend’s Hartlepool Waterfront Festival features Tangled Feet’s Murmurations, Highly Sprung’s Castaway, Luke Jerram’s Gaia and Whippet Up!, Folk Dance Remixed, Natalie Reckert and the Elephant Rock puppet.

Willenhall | Grab your family and friends and head to Willenhall Memorial Park on Sunday for the Sucha Mela, an open-air Punjab festival featuring food, live music, and stalls.

Covent Garden | Experience Shakespeare’s best-loved comedy in the heart of Covent Garden with the award-winning Iris Theatre’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, running until 13 Aug.

Manchester | Join The Circus House for a feast of circus festivities with performance, food and fun at From the Ground Up on 13 Jul. Featuring a wide variety of performances from members of The Circus House, as well as wood-fired pizza from the Klondyke and some extra surprises included!

Dundee | There are free all-ages shows, street entertainment, live music, storytelling, interactive activities, workshops and more at Dundee Summer (Bash) Streets Festival 2022, running 14-24 Jul.

Bristol | Bristol Harbour Festival returns 15-17 Jul, celebrating the heart and soul of the city in the unique setting of its harbour. As part of the festival, world famous Bristol circus company Cirque Bijou present the Circus Playground in Queen Square, with a family friendly programme of circus, street theatre, comedy, walkabout and things to play, make and do. Beverley | The 10th Beverley Puppet Festival will run 15-17 Jul with amazing shows, workshops, talks and outdoor theatre.
