Mar 18, 2025

Fair Work, Viable Funding, Future Sustainability

ITC’s conference will be held on 18th March 2025 at founder member Soho Theatre.

It marks 50 years of ITC representing, supporting and setting industry standards for the Independent performing arts sector.

We will be bringing together practitioners past, present and future from ITC’s 50 years, funders and policymakers and external speakers to focus on the founding principles of ITC:

  • Fair Work: Union recognition, pay and conditions, supporting freelancers, dignity at work, dispute resolution, well-being, career paths
  • Viable Funding: Exploring sources and approaches to better funding the work of the sector
  • Future Sustainability: How do we thrive and survive for the next 50 years

Breakout discussions will explore the following;

  • Environmental sustainability
  • Touring – how do we make touring viable?
  • Theatre for children and young people
  • Workforce sustainability – CPD & leadership
  • AI and technical future

The day will include ITC’s AGM and an opportunity to elect new ITC Board members. It will culminate in a party to celebrate 50 years of our vibrant Independent Theatre sector and the people who have contributed to its thriving and surviving.

The day aims to bring this community together for peer learning and support and to recognise the extraordinary achievements of ITC companies and leaders.

This is an exclusive event for ITC members. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with peers and celebrate ITC’s milestone together.
