Matt Pang

Performer and maker blending circus, theatre, and invention to create playful, imaginative experiences.

Matt Pang has been performing since 2005, creating and touring his own solo and duo shows across the world. Rooted in circus and making, his work is playful, inventive, and most at home in outdoor spaces — connecting with audiences from all walks of life.

A graduate of Circomedia (2006/07), where he specialised in Physical Theatre and Equilibristics & Manipulation, Matt later went on to teach there, leading the Street Theatre module for over a decade.

Alongside touring to internationally renowned festivals and events, Matt has also worked extensively at a local level across the UK, engaging communities through outdoor performance and delivering projects in schools that promote creativity and STEM learning.

A self-taught maker and “DIY engineer,” Matt’s creative process often begins with building — designing and constructing the objects and contraptions that inspire his performances. He is most energised by bringing these creations to life through public performance, where making, play, and audience connection come together.
