Dancing Between Worlds: Performance in Dialogue with Nature

Judita Vivas is a Lithuanian-born performer, movement practitioner, facilitator, and parent artist. She is the Founder and Co-Director of Foxtale Ensemble, a European theatre company dedicated to collaborative and interdisciplinary performance-making.

Judita trained in the UK, Malta, and Greece, and has worked on a wide range of performance and research projects across Europe and the UK. She holds a PhD in Theatre from the University of Kent, with a focus on contemporary performance practices.

Her work is rooted in devised performance and shaped by a physical, visual, and poetic language. She is drawn to the space between presence and representation, where mythologies and real-life stories intertwine through movement, sound, and objects.

Currently, Judita’s creative focus is on the natural world—exploring ecology, blue and green spaces, and outdoor arts. Her ongoing research and projects aim to open up meaningful dialogues between nature and artistic practice, exploring how performance, movement, and facilitation can engage with environmental themes in innovative ways.
