Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 29 as the day that summer officially starts as ‘Manchester Day – On Holiday’ kicks off, the standout event of the summer that you won’t want to miss.
This year the Council is once again teaming up with Walk The Plank to offer a jam-packed schedule of family fun, that will see Manchester city centre transformed from dawn ‘til dusk, bringing the holiday vibes without having to go near the M60.
In a change from previous events, this year’s celebrations will see attractions dotted throughout the city centre during the day, from Deansgate, Exchange Square, to St Ann’s Square, running from 12pm to 9pm.
Once the sun starts to set, the good times will continue as the focus shifts to the Northern Quarter, with revellers able to keep soaking up the evening sunshine (we hope!) as the party continues.
