Festival of Christmas

Welcome to Coventry’s Festival of Christmas, The theme is “Christmas Dreams”, imagination run wild with all things festive, the fantastical and magical come alive on the city streets, step inside a Christmas Dream with the iconic characters – Father Christmas and elves alongside Cocky Robins and 7 foot Christmas ducks, living fairies and a magical snow lion. Witness fantastic animals and Christmas characters, sounds and sights. The annual Christmas Market returns to with tasty treats and the magnificent Big Wheel to take in a bird’s eye fun if the festivities below. The event is spread across the city centre with activity repeated throughout the evening, so you don’t need to miss anything. form 3pm to 8pm Its free and highlights will include Ego Arts with their 20 minute Magic of Christmas show in the Cathedral ruins repeated 6 times during the event and live ice carving and fire pyrotechnics coming together for Glacial Arts performance, and an outing of the new show form expert puppeteers Creature Encounters and their POD of illuminate dolphins – all the ingredients of “Christmas Dreams.”
