Take a journey across Greenham Common where aerial circus, dance, street theatre, music and more bring to life this very special environment and its rich and complex stories.
Greenham Common marks 25 years since its return to public ownership. Join us to celebrate its rich past and remarkable restoration – from military base to wildlife sanctuary – site of peace protest and environmental renewal.
Across the two days there will be performances all over Greenham Common, these include Nandita Shankardass’ Roots to Rise, Gossamer Thread Circus in Becoming FERAL, and work from artists commissioned at 101 Outdoor Arts. Join your host Adderlaide, the spirit of the common and meet Heath and Heather Robinson, the eccentric couple who inhabit The Common Room. Find peace in Yara + Davina’s provoking work Moral Compass, take a magical storytelling walk in Rachel Lincoln’s nature odyssey for children Common, and join folk singer Louise Jordan in exploring the resilience of the peace camp protesters.
Start your adventure from Venture West at Greenham Business Park.
Creative Commons is part of the Corn Exchange Newbury’s 101 Outdoor Arts outdoor programme and funded by Greenham Trust and Arts Council England.
