Thursday 20th August – Mandala Artwork
In collaboration with Kinetika, the community is invited to help create a large-scale Mandala using locally sourced objects and recycled materials, found within and outside the Fort.
The mandala will be created over the course of the day, with different time slots on offer for people to join in and help create the artwork.
Times: 10am – 4pm

Monday 24th August – Soundscape Workshop
What does Coalhouse Fort sound like?
What sounds can we hear now?
What sounds have disappeared?
If the landscape itself became a piece of music, what would it sound like?
Join sound artist Kelly Ann Buckley to capture the sounds of the Fort and then using voices, body percussion, rhythm, instruments and found sounds, participants will create a one-off, live ‘soundscape orchestra’.
Kelly will be leading soundscape workshops all day, with different time slots on offer for people to join in and help create the Coalhouse soundscape.

Thursday 27th August – Family Theatre
Take your seat for ‘Upstream’, a magical and interactive outdoor theatre and puppetry show by Smoking Apples Theatre, for families and children aged 4 – 11 years.
Meet Lyra, water explorer extraordinaire.
One night, she camps out under the stars by her favourite willow tree.
Daylight turns to moonlight and the tree comes to life, a spectacular giant puppet called Old Mother River. Together they uncover troubling changes in our rivers and how we can help.
Performances will take place in Coalhouse Fort Park at 11:30am and 1:30pm.
No booking required.
