The International festival of contemporary circus Cirkuliacija is a platform that breaks stereotypes about the circus and becomes a meeting point to discuss, share experiences and learn from each other. The festival in non-traditional urban spaces presenting a variety of contemporary circus disciplines, performances and artistic views from Lithuania and abroad is seen as a collaborative process in which the presence of each person creates a new meaning.

The theme of the 2022 edition of the festival is duets – the works created, performed or reflecting the theme of the duo will be programmed. Even the location of the festival in Kaunas is a double city district – Lower and Upper Šančiai.
The main program presents troupes from Canada, Belgium, France, and the Czech Republic.
8-11 of June
Cirkuliacija, professional days
The Baltic circus platform will accompany the main programme of the festival, showcasing the latest works from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Emerging artists will present final productions, work-in-progress and ideas at the pitch sessions. The first circus center in Kaunas “Cirko Sapiens” will present an international residency programme.
For the first time in Kaunas the festival will host events of the four international contemporary circus networks. International, regional and local professionals will be invited to participate in conferences, meetings, and creative workshops.
