CARNIVAL PARADE 6pm
Some 50 carnival carts, up to 30m long, 5.5m high, 3.5m wide, create an amazing spectacle of light, sound and mindblowing movement as the parade winds its way along a two-mile route in the centre of the historic town. Groups and individual masqueraders, marching bands and so much more complete the line-up which takes over two hours to pass by. SIMULTANEOUS SQUIBBING DISPLAY
The tradition of squibbing goes back centuries and can only be seen in Bridgwater. The display takes place on the High Street 30 minutes after the parade ends. When it comes to fireworks, nothing matches this incredible display on the streets of Bridgwater.
