The Glass Works are thrilled to bring back the Barnsley Garden Party on Saturday, 14th September, from 11 am to 4 pm. This vibrant festival will transform Barnsley town centre into a hub of creativity, with spectacular music, dance, circus acts, and family-friendly performances that promise to enchant visitors of all ages. Set in the lively Glass Works Square and the beautifully restored Barnsley Civic, this event is the perfect way to experience the very best of outdoor arts.
Prepare to be amazed as some of the UK’s leading street artists and performers take over The Glass Works. Highlights include WILD, an awe-inspiring dance, acrobatics, and circus performance that delves into our relationship with nature, and Look Mum, No Hands, a touching coming-of-age story told through physical theatre. Don’t miss Serving Sounds, a multi-sensory sound installation where you can feel the beat instead of sipping a drink, and make sure to stop by the Library @ the Lightbox for eco-crafts, face painting, and more family fun throughout the day.

Originally built in 1877, this historic entrance now stands as a symbol of Barnsley’s rich cultural heritage and continued commitment to the arts.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a day filled with creativity, history, and community spirit.
