Tipping Point, Off the Wall Aerial Dance
A powerful and dynamic aerial dance duet inspired by Nikita Gill’s “’An ode to a fearless women’”. Expect a play between heart and humour, powerful female performance, and a soundtrack that packs a punch. The aerial harness dance company are famous for Vertical Dancing (also known as wall dancing) on buildings, cliffs, and any horizontal surface.
Hall for Cornwall Youth Dance Company
From Cornwall’s next generation of skilled young performers, Hall for Cornwall Youth Dance Company presents two pieces, DAWN and Whisper. Whisper, Choreographed by Rob Mennear and Suzie West is ‘a murmuration that carries whispers and messages of those who would otherwise be silent’
Out of the Deep Blue, Autin Dance Theatre
Featuring a 13-foot tall giant puppet operated by five puppeteers and a female dancer. This spectacle tells the magical story of Eko, a sea giant who rises from the deep ocean and who encounters, on the shore, a courageous little girl called Violet.
On the Standline, Urban Playground Team
The UPG Team bring their distinctive performance-parkour language together with a vessel made of scaffold and a story told by a child to ask, in the face of rising sea levels, how we avoid having to choose who gets on the boat?
Silent Disco
Dance to your own beat and into the sunset on the beach. From 5pm until 7pm, our free Silent Disco event takes place on the sand, with the waves as your backdrop. Free to attend, come find the Silent Disco crew on the beach and pick up your pair of headphones.
Bathing Belles, CScape
Look out for the Bathing Belles popping up around the beach with a 1950’s style choreography, faux synchronised swimming, and lots of bubbles. Become part of the dance and take part in a choreographed (land-based!) synchronized swim!
Old Time Sailors
Sail back to the 19th century with an immersive musical performance from Old Time Sailors as they close our Arts on the Beach weekend event.
