Pulling a Pop-up Eco-Stage on a bicycle, bringing feel-good music and happy vibes, themed and bespoke.
I’ve spent many years playing historical and themed music with Grinnigogs International, street theatre with Fritz and Betty’s Fire-eating show, diva-ing with cross-cultural world music band and festival favourites Celtarabia, all the time collecting songs, music and stories that I’ve enjoyed performing.
I’ve been a street entertainer, an artist, a circus performer, a musician, I’ve been in bands and solo, been a fortune teller, a fire eater, a stilt walker, a storyteller.
I’ve written songs, been commissioned to write songs for festivals and performances, I’ve spent my whole life collecting and playing feel-good songs and music.
In 2019 I travelled from Land’s End to John O Groats, collecting songs and music from traditional musicians I met along the way.
I’ve got the travel bug now, I’m a 21st century Troubadour. I have developed Amanda Lowe’s Amazing Pop-up Eco-Stage – arriving at gigs on bicycle, pulling a brightly coloured trailer which unpacks to create a fully-kitted eco-stage, complete with solar-powered PA system, from which I perform feel-good acoustic music, on mandolin, banjo, fiddle and dulcimer – solo, or if space and budget allows, with guests.
The Pop-Up Eco-Stage is brightly coloured, carnival style, very visual, and versatile for transforming into themed and bespoke events. Later this year we will be premiering ‘The Banjoangel All-stars Christmas Extravaganza’, and ‘Haggity Hag’ – murdering songs for Halloween.
Suitable for parks, city-centres, events, corporate… anywhere people need a bit of joy and spectacle.
