Chalon-sur-Saône becomes, for 5 days, a vast field of expression where the arts and disciplines mingle. A place where new modes of dialogue between artists, works and audiences are imagined.
The festival reflects and follows the latest creation in public spaces. Over time, he has accompanied and highlighted the evolutions of creation in public spaces. It works for the recognition of all artists, known and lesser-known, companies confirmed as young talents. Each project has been selected, supported or co-produced by our teams.
Chalon dans la Rue works alongside artists and allows them to perform in the best possible conditions. It offers companies space for dissemination and visibility, programmers a place of scouting and the public for pleasure.
Edition 2021
The National Center for Street Arts and Public Space of Chalon-sur-Saône and its partners – first and foremost the city – took the decision in December 2020 to organise the festival in its historical form in 2021.
A call for candidatures is launched for the Off Selection as well as a new call for projects for “Dawn of Creation” without being at this stage certain that the event will be able to take place in all its dimensions. The evolution of the health crisis that conditions access to public space and to shows remains uncertain and unpredictable. Depending on the situation, we may be forced to adapt the festival. We remain attentive and responsive.
