JL Circus Hub Masterclass: Lina Johansson

This masterclass explores how circus and movement skills can become starting points for theatrical creation, allowing stories and themes to grow out of the physicality rather than being imposed on top.

Working through devising tasks and ensemble exercises that draw on Lina’s internationally recognised work, participants will investigate how weight, trust, balance and physical relationships can generate imagery, emotion and narrative.

This will include creative approaches to work around injuries and restrictions, to create work that is both original and sustainable for our bodies long-term (wheelchair accessible).
