Puppet Workshop Details
Join some of team from Noisy Oyster to explore the world of puppets.
There will three workshops to choose from:
Design a puppet
Get creative by assembling a character! Choose from a variety of eyes, mouths, and noses to attach to velcro heads, creating a puppet for you to play with in the workshop.
Learn Puppetry Techniques
Work solo or team up with a friend to breathe life into your puppet, learning essential techniques to make them move, walk, and express emotions.
Marionette workshop
Explore the fascinating world of string puppets (marionettes). Practice making them walk, dance, and perform realistic movements.
Workshops will have limited spaces and available on a first come, first served basis on the day.
Useful to know
- The performances of Three Billy Pigs will be indoors at the St Barnabas Centre, Pilsley Road, Danesmoor which is approx. 0.2 miles from the main event area.
- Most of the event will be outdoors with shelter provided but please dress for the weather.
- Toilet facilities are available at the St Barnabas Centre, Pilsey Road.
- There is on-site car parking at Sharley Park but if you can get to the event on foot, please do.
- This is a family event aimed at ages 3+. Children under 14 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
Access Information
- An accessible toilet is available at the St. Barnabas Centre.
- A Changing Places is available at Clay Cross Active, at the Market Street end of Sharley Park.
- The main event area at Sharley Park is a flat, grassed area. Provision will be made is the ground is wet.
- The St. Barnabas Centre is at street level with a wheelchair accessible front entrance.
- Seating including backed seating will be available at the event.
- We will have ear defenders to borrow.
- We will have sensory toys to borrow.
