In this training Gendered Intelligence will:
- Explain what ‘trans’ and ‘non-binary’ mean and describe the diversity of those who might use the terms
- Introduce key concepts crucial to understanding trans and non-binary people
- Build confidence using inclusive language, including gendered pronouns
- Outline the main legislation protecting trans people’s rights at work
- Discuss the current climate for trans people in the UK
- Explore ways an organisation can work towards being trans-inclusive
- Provide links to further resources and help
Please note that this session is £5 and available to members only to encourage attendance and a safe, supportive space for open discussion.
The session will be available via Zoom, with a link emailed out the day before the session.

The Trainer:
Ugla Stefanía Kristjönudóttir Jónsdóttir is a trainer and consultant. They have extensive experience (15+ years) of training and facilitation, having worked with LGBTQIA+ and women’s rights charities in Iceland, the UK and on a wider European level. In 2019 they were listed as one of the 100 most influential women in the UK by the BBC. They have also worked on drafting trans inclusive legislation and policies in Iceland, as well as being an advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and women’s rights. They currently travel between the UK and Iceland, and have a long-term partner and 3 cats and 1 dog. In their spare time they love to watch reality TV and play video games and D&D.
