This year’s festival promises a diverse programme of theatre and performance, with something for everyone
Here’s a glimpse of what’s on offer:
- Dot, the Faun and the Elfin Child: A dark fantasy set in the summer of the pandemic. Where mother and daughter find themselves holed up together for the duration.
- Native Wit: A hilarious, humane and ultimately life-affirming exploration of childhood experiences of David and Ayodele in West Africa in the 60s and 70s.
- Courtship, Scenes from the novels of Jane Austen: A charming production bringing to life some of Austen’s most beloved characters. The original one woman show about the author which has been touring for 40 years.
- Macbeth: William Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy of witchcraft and murder, explores ambition, betrayal and guilt.
- Improvised Comedy with acclaimed Bristol-base company Instant Wit: An interactive show featuring a renowned cast improvised comedy practitioners, createing comedy on the spot based on audience suggestions.
- The Shaggy Dog Tale: A raucous family-friendly show of Somerset folklore and song with a twist on a classic story.
