The Brick Box has announced its closure. Director of The Brick Box, Rosie Freeman says:
Dear Friends,
Rosie here! I want to give you an update on The Brick Box.
Since our spectacular ‘Mills are Alive’ in 2022, both myself and the whole team at BB have been exploring new creative avenues for our work as artists and producers.
This is taking us all in exciting new directions, and so we have decided to close the doors of The Brick Box to make space for new projects and adventures.
We are hugely proud of our journey, with nearly 14 years of work as a Community Interest Company and international arts organisation working with brilliant people in special places.
It’s been amazing to be part of Bradford’s cultural scene leading up to winning UK City of Culture 2025 and we’ll continue to be around, making art and doing creative things in the district we are proud to call home.
We’d like to thank everyone who collaborated with us, came to our events, and funded and supported our journey. The volunteers, community groups, artists, grafters, team members old and new – we salute you and thank you so much for sharing your time and energy.
Here’s to art, love, magic and new chapters!
