Course Overview:
This course provides a clear understanding of the basics of contract law and practices in the performing arts, interwoven with fundamental negotiation techniques to achieve the best possible deals.
Combining practical and theoretical elements, this session draws on real-life scenarios to give an understanding of the challenges faced when working with internal and external suppliers. Using the latest employment law to ensure those working in the sector are delivering best practices.
This interactive session will examine the communication and personal skills needed to negotiate effective contractual relationships. It will offer an opportunity to put theories and techniques into practice playing to your strengths and building confidence.
By the end of the session, you will:

Trainer
Charlotte Jones is the Chief Executive of ITC. She trained as a lawyer and has many years experience of negotiating contracts and representing ITC and its members to funders, supporters, politicians, the press and media, development agencies, and the wider creative and cultural sector.
