OAUK members Just Add Water are running The Dolbryn Creative Retreats Programme, a three-day residential retreat aimed specifically at artists, cultural leaders and managers.

Just Add Water understand just how hard it is for creatives and senior cultural leaders within the arts to find the time to just think, to play around with ideas, to spark their imagination and follow ideas, without the pressure of responding to the daily barrage of emails, messages, phone calls and the continuous challenges around funding and thriving in the cultural sector post Covid.

The Dolbryn Creative Retreat offers the opportunity for critical thinking to flourish in the immersive and stunning natural environment of West Wales. In addition to the residential space, the retreat includes optional time with Creative Director David Edmunds, in the form of mentoring or advice sessions, or simply an opportunity to talk through ideas. These sessions can take the form of a walk in the beautiful woodlands, a chat by the lake or even an early morning cold-water swim.

“There is a certain kind of magic in being able to provide an expansive mental and physical space for artists, curators, cultural producers, and a pretty much anyone who needs time to think and room to breathe in a reflective atmosphere that’s miles away from nonstop urban energy…”
