AGM

The OAUK AGM will take place on Wed 17 May on Zoom – join us for the usual drop-in at 12pm, then stay online for the AGM 12.30pm-1.30pm.

We will present the OAUK annual director and chair's reports, finance report and reveal the results of the Board election.

Board Election

We are very much looking forward to bringing new members onto the OAUK Board. The Board is ultimately responsible for the vision, strategic direction and policy of OAUK but they delegate the realisation of these, through day-to-day operations, to the Director and staff. The Board acts in the interests of the members, to ensure that the organisation observes best practice in governance and is accountable for the company's actions and resources.

Current Board

We have three Board Members standing down after serving two terms and three of the current Board are putting themselves up for re-election. As we wish to retain a couple of spaces on the Board to co-opt from beyond the membership, we have five places to fill in this election process. Current Board status:

  • Retained: Sarah Bird, Phill Hargreaves & Lorna Rees
  • Standing for re-election: Camille Ben Soussan, Graham Callister & Lou Lomas
  • Standing down after two terms: Ajay Chhabra, Alan Richardson & Deb Mullins

Application

To apply for the role of OAUK Board Member, fill in the application form after you have read more about the role in the Board specification document; this document outlines the responsibilities, expectations, and time required. Please be sure that you can meet all the commitments.

If you are interested, but not sure whether the role is right for you, please come to the OAUK Online Drop-In on 19 Apr or get in touch and book a 1-2-1 with a current Board member or drop us a line: david@outdoorartsuk.org.

Voting

The majority of the OAUK Board is elected by our membership. Online voting will be open from 5-16 May – we will send members the voting link by email (one vote per membership).

Final live voting will take place during the AGM. This is our most serious part of governance so please consider your vote carefully as each Board member will have a legal responsibility to OAUK.
