Wanted: New Board Members back to listing
OutdoorArtsUK is looking for 3 brilliant people to join its Board. Could YOU be one of them?
The role of the OutdoorArtsUK Board is to support the organisation, the Executive Director and the team and, where appropriate, the Membership. The Board are asked to contribute to ideas and offer advice and experience on decisions which affect the ongoing work and growth of the organisation. The Board offers leadership to the sector and acts in the interests of the Members, to ensure that the organisation observes best practice in governance and is accountable for the company’s actions and resources.
We want the Board to reflect the membership as broadly as possible, so we really welcome applicants from all parts of the sector and all levels of experience – if you haven’t ever been on a Board before, there are some long-standing members to guide you and it’s a great chance to learn about governance.
When we opened this up to the membership last time, we had a magnificent and huge array of candidates, so we hope you’ll consider standing for election in 2018. If you’d like to talk about it to the Chair (Deb Mullins) or Executive Director (Angus MacKechnie), just call the office.
There’s a simple online form to complete; we’re asking for a bit about you and a statement about what you’d bring to the Board. This will be circulated to the membership.
Deadline: 5pm on Thu 1 Nov.
Only fully paid-up members of OutdoorArtsUK are eligible to put themselves forward and there can only be one nomination per membership.
Voting will open at 12 noon on Fri 2 Nov and will close one week later at 9am on Thur 8 Nov.
If you’re at the OutdoorArtsUK AGM (also on 8 Nov) you’ll be able to vote live if you haven’t already voted and we will invite any candidates present to say a few words. The results will be announced at the end of that day.
