The Return of “DYCP” – Arts Council update back to listing

Darren Henley (CEO Arts Council England) sets out how ACE will be using their remaining resources to support individual artists and creative practitioners in the new blog post ‘Supporting the whole cultural ecology’, including two big announcements:

The return of Developing Your Creative Practice

ACE will be reopening their programme for individuals, Developing Your Creative Practice, in the autumn, with the budget allocation this year increased from £3.6 million to around £18 million. They intend to open the programme to a wider group of creative practitioners than in previous rounds, and to prioritise those who are looking to develop new skills and new ways of working for the post-Covid world. More details to be announced soon.

£18 million added to National Lottery Project Grants

ACE reopened the National Lottery Project Grants fund last week, and have added £18 million to its budget, so now a total of £75 million is available until March 2021. Also worth noting that individuals applying now don’t need to worry about getting match funding from other places, and they can apply for time to think about their work, and plan their next move.
