Lockdown2: Rehearsals and Outdoor Venues back to listing
The Culture Secretary has confirmed that rehearsals in arts venues can still take place. This will be important to companies preparing work for later in the season. It would be logical to interpret this to include going to work to build and make sets, props, costumes and other production items for shows. Also the onsite installation of various elements for outdoor festivals, events and light festivals cannot obviously be done from home, so these too would count as arts venues, even if temporary.
2.
Q: Can arts venues open for rehearsals and to stream performances?
A: Yes. Arts venues are places of work, so people can come into them for work, if it cannot be undertaken from home. This includes rehearsals and performance. Audiences are not permitted.

The Culture Secretary has also confirmed that ‘parks, gardens (and) the grounds of historic houses’ will remain open. Again, this will be important for many venues and companies preparing work over the festive season in these type of venues.
4.
