The Hamilton Project
The Hamilton Project (THP) are creative producers established in 2006, with clients across Northern England. THP are passionate about developing arts-led regeneration, finding roles for cultural people and organisations in regeneration projects, delivering socially engaging practice; and extending the role of culture within neighbourhoods and communities by making art accessible to them. Over the years THP have worked across many cultural events, creatively programming and managing projects either in the public realm or spaces commandeered for the commission/event, such as a medieval tower and an armoury. For Station Stories, THP partnered with Manchester Literature Festival to create a three-day event of live story telling at Manchester Piccadilly Train Station, taking an audience on a journey of six newly-commissioned stories to an audience in headphones, by an unknown story teller in the throngs of the commuters and travellers.
THP ran a light festival in Bury which attracted audiences of more than 30,000. THP oversaw the entire event, from programming and production, through to logistics of stewarding, street closures and health and safety..
