Justice in Motion
JUSTICE IN MOTION is a physical theatre company that creates issue-based work, inspired by true accounts of social injustice, with a strong reputation in both the arts and social sectors. We present or work both indoors and outdoors, and most notably have been touring ON EDGE (supported by Without Walls) throughout the UK.
Our focus is to raise awareness about social injustice, through powerful, thought-provoking and visually stunning performances and to catalyse and inspire debate and action for social change. The work itself is a compelling and passionate mixture of physical theatre, dance, parkour, aerial acrobatics, music, spoken word, and film.
Over the years, our shows have delved into the worlds of migration, poverty, sexual abuse and modern slavery, and we continue to create relevant and inspiring work for today’s audiences.
We deliver workshops and events that engage the wider public, to equip and inspire in the fight against injustice. We collaborate with Partner-Organisations that work in the field of the issues, in order to gain valuable insights, have speakers on site and at our post-show discussions, and connect them with audiences.
Aside from touring, we run regular contemporary dance and acrobatic classes (in.motion) for both professional dancers and the local community in Oxford, open to all.
