Gravity Fields Festival

A festival of science, arts, heritage, music, drama and outdoor spectacular in and around Grantham to celebrate Sir Isaac Newton's legacy. Gravity Fields, organised by South Kesteven District Council, takes place in and around Grantham every two years and celebrates the area's connections with Newton, who was born and brought up at Woolsthorpe and educated at the town's King's School. The inaugural festival in 2012 set a high bar in terms of quality and the sheer range of speakers, entertainment and outdoor arts on the programme, a winning mix of science, arts, heritage, music, drama and community involvement which has now grown an established audience. Festivals in 2014 and 2016 have not only delivered the same high standards but have firmly established Gravity Fields on the national calendar, boosted by its high calibre of patronage and its proven ability to deliver a high quality event. Planning is now underway for our next festival 26 to 30 September 2018.
