In 2017, Underbelly Ltd took on the contract to produce Edinburgh's Hogmanay, marking its 25th year as THE place to celebrate the New Year.
Edinburgh’s Hogmanay 2018 was better than ever before, throwing open its doors to the world. Bands, DJs, street performers and dancers, acrobats, disco divas and fire eaters all combined across multiple stages and on the streets to make it the party of a lifetime.
At midnight, the ultimate fireworks display marks the end of the old year and ushers in the new, against the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.
The three-day festival opens on 30 December with the traditional Torchlight Procession which culminates in a stunning visual moment in Holyrood Park.
On 1 January, Edinburgh, the world’s first UNESCO City of Literature, celebrates its rich literary heritage and that of Scotland with projections across buildings and landmarks across the city through Message from the Skies.
Underbelly is a UK based live entertainment company who also operates one of the largest operations at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, selling 291,000 tickets for over 150 shows over 25 days in 2017.
