Our free event will inspire and equip you with the tools and knowledge to take your charity or CIC to the next level on your social enterprise journey. We’ll be joined by expert speakers from local charities and CICs, who will be hosting workshops on a range of topics.
The event will also include time for networking, stalls from local agencies and information on social investment opportunities.

You will be invited to join two of the following workshop sessions:
- Growth strategy – from ideas to sustainable trading while not compromising charitable purpose (Alistair Dale – Heart of BS13)
- Navigating procurement – a panel discussion exploring the unique challenges and opportunities faced by voluntary sector organisations in procurement and contracting (Panellists from Black South West Network, WECIL, and Trinity Community Arts)
- Building Bridges – effective partnership development for community organisations and making your case for collaboration (Alison Belshaw)
- Innovation for impact – crafting successful products and services in social enterprises (Melanie Vaxevanakis – The MAZI Project)
Optional Lunch:
Participants are invited to a free Social Economy West Networking Lunch from 1-2pm. Join us for some delicious food provided by a local social enterprise, and a chance to connect with other Bristol-based social enterprises.
