Mimi Doulton from Freelancers Make Theatre Work will cover all the essentials of presenting yourself on social media, pitching an idea, and growing your audience. She will share advice on how to make the case for yourself, dealing with self-doubt, and give practical tips on how to make your projects happen.
An interactive session will help you develop your ideas and explore how to inject your personality into your social media, while keeping it professional.
This talk is open to creatives from all art forms, at any level of your career.
Mimi is a freelance singer and administrator. She has worked in marketing for Action for Children’s Arts, the Royal Opera House, Songbound and Digital Theatre. She is a Trustee of Eye Music Trust and Charles Court Opera, and volunteers with Voices of London Festival, Freelancers Make Theatre Work, I:OPERA and UNICEF Stuttgart.
As a singer she is primarily interested in contemporary music, and has collaborated with organisations including the Royal Opera, Wigmore Hall and Snape Maltings on creating new work, as well as producing her own projects. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and King’s College London.
