NASA Pitching at GDIF Festival HUB back to listing

Deadline: 7 Jun
NASA (National Association of Street Artists) are seeking 6 individuals or companies to pitch at the GDIF Festival Hub on Sun 23 Jun, 12pm-1pm, for performance work on the themes of Climate Change, Sustainability and Activism. The HUB will have a variety of national and international delegates.

The themes are Climate Change, Sustainability and Activism. In the wake of the the actions of Extinction Rebellion in April, we wish to highlight work that relates to these themes and to stimulate conversation around them. It may be that the performance treats these themes head on, or your company may be looking to employ sustainable methods around making and logistics. You may be wondering how such political work might be promoted by festivals. Whether your ideas are serious or satirical in tone, large or small in scale, we wish to hear from you. Each pitch will be a maximum of 5 minutes in length, followed by a facilitated conversation about the themes and ideas raised. You’ll be able to use slides and video within the allocated time.

OutdoorArtsUK is subsidising this opportunity. £150 is offered to cover travel or accommodation expenses for each pitch. Please note that if your expenses would exceed £150 but you wish to apply, we will do our best to accommodate, so don’t let this prevent you. Priority will be given to NASA members.

Successful applicants will be informed on Mon 10 Jun.
