circusnext PLaTFoRM 2019-2021: Call for Projects back to listing

Applications for CircusNext platform are now open. Funded by Creative Europe, the programme will support singular and creative emerging circus artists through  their creation process with residencies, funding, networking & touring opportunities.

As before all UK & ROI applications will be handled by Circus Futures and assessed by our “in-country” Judges who will score the applications against the set criteria for CircusNext and offer additional comments by way of feedback to applicants. UK & ROI applications will be selected by the Circus Futures Jury and sent to the Paris office as the “UK & ROI selected companies.” These files will then be reviewed by all of the CircusNext European Jury Members and from these the 12 final “Pre-selected” companies from across Europe will be chosen. After performances by each of the 12 “Pre-Selected companies” at Domelhof in Neerpelt, six Laureates will be selected. The Laureates receive a €10,000 grant, residencies, mentoring and assistance. They are also hosted by PLaTFoRM Members to present work-in-progress performances and residencies and are invited to present a 30-minute extract of their future show at an international Showcase in Paris in 2021.

Kate Hartoch – Circus City Festival (UK)
