‘Strictly Cycling’: The Bicycle Ballet Co

Strictly Cycling is an improvisational, visual performance & ‘cycle-about’ choreography inspired by flash mobs, dada-ism, everyday cycling experiences & the great British weather.

Five to ten performers in bright yellow, cycle or wheel their bikes around a town, creating epic human/bike sculptures; battling in slo motion races, celebrating cycling, life & yellowness.

Strictly Cycling is part choreographed & part improvised to play & interact with audiences & any features around performance locations, in a socially distanced way. It is a roving performance interspersed with short, static vignettes, so can move about to avoid building crowds & move around a wide area.

The show is high impact, with visually striking costumes & a mobile soundscape. Its exciting, comic, self-contained & able to go anywhere – from High Streets to parks & rural locations, local streets & neighbourhoods – &, waterproof as well!
