What to expect on the day
The Conference will open with a welcome introduction, followed by talks and discussions on the state of play for the sector and what impacts we’re making. After lunch, the focus turns to opportunities moving forward. On late Monday afternoon there are 4 concurrently running Breakout Sessions. Following a keynote from WildWorks’ Sue Hill, coaches will take everyone back to hotels and then, a little later, onto Festive Road for dinner, drinks & entertainment.
For those making your own way to Festive Road, the address is:
Festive Road Creation Space, 28 Burners Lane, Kiln Farm, MK11 3HB
Coaches will drop you back around 23:00, but if you’re after more networking, the Jurys Inn upper bar will be open late for our use for post-dinner ‘socialising’.
Day 2 resumes at The Stables with Roger Hartley from the Bureau of Silly Ideas, and discussions around developing diversity and environmental matters followed by practical toolkit Breakout Sessions. After celebrating successes and some lunch we’ll head over to Festive Road by coach for the Marketplace and a series of fringe meetings, one-to-one toolkit sessions and ACE surgeries. Sign-up for these during lunch at The Stables. The Conference ends at 16:30 with a pay bar open until 18:30.
Outdoor Arts Ideas Summit Marketplace
Tuesday 14:30-16:30, Festive Road Workshop
Twenty five companies hang out their wares on the Ideas Summit ‘laundry lines’. Throughout the afternoon, delegates will have time to look at their ideas and plans for new outdoor shows, meet the artists and producers and start to make connections for future projects, bookings and collaborations. This year we asked our artists to ‘think big’, so expect some ambitious and excellent ideas.
- Programme: Angus MacKechnie
- Ticketing & Finance: Natalie Scott
- Ideas Summit Marketplace: Catherine Packard
- Marketing & Social Media: Ellie Dragonetti
